Wu was also the first Asian American woman and television reporter for the Massachusetts State House. She has received numerous accolades such as Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting, the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in political journalism, the “Inspiration Award” from the Asian Community Development Corporation, and an Emmy Award.
Additionally, served as a key member of WCVB’s political unit and received an Emmy at the 2015 Emmy Awards presented by NATAS Boston. At Emerson College’s 2011 commencement, she received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree, and in 2010, she was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
