Jim Armstrong is an American sports journalist, and sports columnist at the Denver Post since 1994 where he covered the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and was a columnist at his termination in 2011. He has been named Colorado Sportswriter of the year on two occasions by the National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters. Additionally, Jim also writes for America Online and has appeared on ESPN’s Around the Horn in the place of colleague Woody Paige. Prior to that, he served for the Memphis Commercial Appeal and the Racine Journal-Times. Armstrong joined the Post as a sportswriter in 1984 from the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
