Brian Williams is an American journalist at MSNBC, who previously worked at NBC News as the former reporter, the network’s chief anchor of NBC Nightly News, and currently the host of “The 11th Hour with Brian Williams” its cable weeknight news program. Williams served as the anchor and managing editor of “NBC Nightly News”, the evening program on NBC from 2004 to 2015, and in 2005, NBC News was honored with the Peabody Award for the coverage of Hurricane Katrina.

Williams started his journalism career at KOAM-TV in 1981 in Pittsburg, Kansas, and on the following year, he covered news in Washington, D.C. at WTTG and then worked in Philadelphia for WCAU, owned and operated by CBS. Lastly, Brian joined NBC as an anchor of the national Weekday Nightly News and was the chief White House correspondent in 1993.
